Health and Healing Therapy helps people to Grow, Heal, and Thrive
Our Mission
Health and Healing Therapy’s mission is to help the members of our community Grow, Heal, and Thrive.
There are times in therapy for play, laughter, transparency, tears, moments of insight, silence, sitting in discomfort, and acknowledging pain so we can learn, grow, and heal. Through therapy and counseling, powerful healing is possible.
Meet our team of therapists.
We Believe…
The people we work with are brave, courageous, wise, and have an endless capacity for growth.
We all wholeheartedly deserve to receive support, compassion, and understanding as well as to be seen and heard.
We believe that holistic and individualized therapy is a supportive collaboration that can be life-changing.
Health and Healing Therapy is an inclusive practice. Learn more about our Core Values.

We welcome the opportunity to help you begin to create and live the kind of life you want and deserve.
People are not broken, nor do they need to be fixed. Nothing is wrong with us, but many of us are longing and needing to heal. Trauma affects everyone in different levels of intensity. When we explore what has happened to and inside of us during our lifetime, we can learn how it has guided and influenced our coping, behavior, choices, beliefs, feelings, emotions, and overall life. Through this understanding and self-acceptance, powerful healing is possible.
Many individuals we have the privilege to provide therapy for are often struggling with an event or experience that has been unwanted and/or unexpected. We are passionate about providing them with support, compassion, acceptance, and a safe space for them to be themselves. Through therapy, people can begin to look at themselves in a new light, lessen the pain they carry, find the hope they’ve been missing, and truly embrace the wonderful and amazing person they are.
The Velveteen Rabbit (or How Toys Become Real) is a British children’s book written by Margery Williams and illustrated by William Nicholson.

Meet our Administrative Staff

Administrative Coordinator
she/her/hers
Yesenia Lopez, BA
Office Hours: Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
I have worked in the mental health field for the past 10 years. After earning my B.A. in Psychology at Roosevelt University, I began as a mental health professional providing case management services at a non-for-profit organization. However, after a few years I realized my attention to detail, need for organization, and love for completing tasks were more suited for an administrative role. I really enjoy being the go-to person for our team and providing continuous support to ensure our clients are getting the best care.
I enjoy hosting and getting together with friends and family for every and all occasions. In my free time I like shopping, decorating, organizing, cooking, dancing, music, reading, hot yoga, hiking, and traveling whenever possible.

Office Hours:
Mondays 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM; Wednesdays 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
I have been part of the Health and Healing Therapy team since early 2020, working behind the scenes in a range of areas including social media management, practice metrics tracking and data collection, payroll, client communication, and even office decor and design. Currently, I am pursuing my passion for research as a Study Coordinator at RUSH University Medical Center, but I appreciate being able to continue supporting the therapeutic field with the work I do part-time for the practice. I strongly advocate that everyone should prioritize their mental health and that therapy and internal work is beneficial for all. I hold a B.A. in Psychology and Japanese Language.
When not working, I enjoy K-pop (BTS and Ateez) and have traveled the country multiple times for concerts. My hobbies include dancing, writing, and video editing. I also enjoy personality typing and astrology as ways to get to know others.
